LOTUS EFFECT

Lotus leaves have self-cleaning properties. Persistent stains applied by researchers were easily removed by rain droplets and rolled off the leaf. By the discovery of the hydrophob and nanostructured surface of this leaf, lots of end uses, particularly as coatings for buildings, aircraft, cars and textiles, have began.
