In this experiment, use of grape leaves for wool carpet threads` dyeing, which can not be considered as food, in order to eliminate its waste position and its subjective and objective evaluation was planned.
In this experiment, mature and young leaves of Pinot noir and Kalecik Karası, which are grape species for wine, red leaves of Bouschet, which are about to be shed and mature and young leaves of SO4 (oppenheim), which are matured leaves of American grape, are used as materials.
Totally 35 dyeing are realized with mordanted dyeing method (pre-mordanting method) by using 3 % of mordant. Colors obtained from dyeing were evaluated subjectively and objectively. When it was evaluated subjectively was obtained colors like bej, yellow, brown. When it was evaluated objectively, dE (Color difference), was found between 17.048 and 78.354.
